What is Fall Lebo Cup? Fall Lebo Cup is an intra-scholastic recreational soccer program for Mt. Lebanon youth in 3rd through 12th grades (including Mt. Lebanon residents who attend private or parochial schools). Participants play soccer on school-based teams against teams from other schools within Mt. Lebanon. The Lebo Cup program is made up of separate boys and girls’ leagues which are divided into 3rd and 4th, 5th and 6th, 7th and 8th, and 9th - 12th grade teams. Lebo Cup follows established principles of mini-soccer, as developed by USSF professionals, and is designed so kids can learn the game of soccer, develop soccer skills and experience the rewards of playing on a team during regular games in an environment that is fun and as free of external influences as possible. The season typically starts in early Fall and continues through late October or early November. All play is held on local Mt. Lebanon municipal and school fields. Teams usually practice once or twice a week. Games are played on Saturdays, with game length ranging from fifty to 70 minutes, depending on the age of players. Each team participates in a Saturday Lebo Cup tournament for their gender/age league. Fall Lebo Cup runs on Saturdays in the Fall, typically late August/early September to early November.
