NEW Course Lebo Cup Referee Course - August 27th

New Entry Level Referee Course

Interested in refereeing in-house, but not yet ready for the Grade 8 class? 

MLSA is offering no-cost instruction geared toward refereeing Lebo Cup.  Class will be held Saturday, August 27th from 9-1.  Please e-mail soccer@mlsa.org with your interest and you will be contacted with location and further details.

This referee course is geared to students who will be 13 and older before September 1, 2011.

Current Referees

Current referees must recertify prior to 12/31/11 in order to officiate in 2012.

MLSA will host recertification in late 2011, watch here for details.

Grade 8 Referees (Black Badge)

Courses offered through PA-West - MLSA is not hosting a Grade 8 course in 2011.

All those interested in taking a Grade 8 course should check the PA-West Referee Clinics page (linked below) for information on classes in the area. Classes are $100 and typically run two full days.

how do i register?


LEBO CUP REFEREE - To register for the Lebo Cup Referee class, contact us by email at soccer@mlsa.org and we will send you registration informtion.

PA WEST - Schedules for classes throughout PA-West (sorted by date) and registration/payment details can be found through the e-Referee system on the PA-West Home Page.

Select Referees > Calendar or go directly to the PA-West Referee Clinics page.

Note: You will need to create/update your referee record in e-Referee before the system will let you sign up for courses.
Using e-Referee:
Specify Home Club - The e-Referee system allows you to specify a home club;
select Mt Lebanon to put your name on our contact list for e-mails and match assignments.
Track Match Count - If you are using e-Referee to track your match count (necessary for upgrade to Grade 7), it is recommended that you provide counts through the Spring 2011 session, and then provide your full Fall 2010 count in next year’s update.
Verify Contact Info - If you are not tracking match count, simply verify that contact information is correct and update your record.
