Coach Licensing

Coaching License:

All soccer coaches owe it to themselves, and to their athletes, to be prepared in effective coaching. ... Whatever the level of the soccer player, the team and the coach, learning and enjoy learning should always be crucial considerations of the training and game environment.

COACHING LICENSE PATHWAY

U.S. Soccer is committed to providing all coaches, from beginner to advanced, with education tailored to their experiences and the needs of their players. The Coaching License Pathway consists of a series of courses designed to meet the specific needs of a coach at every step of the way. U.S. Soccer believes education is a journey, and our goal is to provide the necessary tools, guidance, and mentorship a coach requires.

Note:  Due to Covid Issues, coaches are only required to complete the 4v4 online course at this time.  Once restrictions open back up, all coaches in this situation will be required to take a blended in-person Grassroots course.  This will be communicated to the coaches by the Travel Director at MLSA.
